William F. Murdy serves as Senior Advisor
to the Fund. He also serves full-time as Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of Comfort Systems USA (NYSE: FIX), a national
consolidation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and
related services companies. Prior to Comfort Systems he was
Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Club Quarters,
a privately owned, rapidly growing chain of membership hotels.
From 1981 to 1989, Bill served as the Managing General Partner
of the Morgan Stanley Venture Capital Fund and President of
its associated management company. From 1964 to 1974, Bill
served in the United States Army, including two tours of duty
in Vietnam and three years teaching at West Point. He serves
on the Board of Directors of UIL Holdings (NYSE: UIL), NetVersant,
Compact Power Inc. and Simulis. He is a member of the National
Board and Executive Committee of Business Executives for National
Security, the Council of Foreign Relations, the Board of the
Association of Graduates of the U.S. Military Academy, and
the Defense University Foundation. Bill is a graduate of the
United States Military Academy at West Point and the Harvard
Business School. He is married with two grown children and
resides in New Canaan, Connecticut and Houston, Texas.
