David K, Rensin is a member of the
Advisory Board of Washington Capital Partners. The author
of four books and numerous articles on distributed computing
systems, David's career has been marked by innovation and
leadership in software technology. As Chief Product Officer
at Omnisky Corporation, he was responsible for the overall
product vision of the company. Previously, David was the Co-Founder
and Chief Technology Officer of Riverbed Technologies - a
Virginia-based software company that built enterprise middleware
to connect mobile devices to back-end systems. Riverbed was
acquired in February 2000 by Aether Systems (AETH) for more
than one billion dollars. In July 2000, Mr.. Rensin was named
one of Mobile Computing Magazine's Mobile Innovators of the
Year for his work on the ScoutWare Platform. David holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and Statistics
from the University of Maryland, College Park and resides
in Waterford, VA, with his wife and two children.
